PRAAD can best be described as the memory of our nation – collecting and preserving Ghana Government records that reflect our history, culture and identity.

Our collection traces events and decisions that have shaped the nation and the lives of Ghanaians from pre-colonial times to modern day Ghana.  Visitors are welcome to explore our collection, online or in person, to learn more.

In addition to preserving our history, culture and national identity, PRAAD plays a key role in helping to ensure that the Government of Ghana and its ministries, departments and agencies are effective and accountable to the people.
